Psychotherapy
It’s helpful to think of psychotherapy as a bridge you build with your therapist to help you travel over difficult, sometimes even impassable, terrain.
Together, we will explore your needs, and then come up with the best bridge to get you to where you want to be on your life’s path.
The first step is often the hardest. Perhaps you don’t know how to ask for help, because you don’t yet know what you need. Truth is, this not-knowing is the best place to start. Its all right to come to your first appointment with no idea how to begin, no preconceived agenda; together we can map your path forward.
My Practice
When I work with a client, I seek to uncover their emotional needs, both the unmet needs they tell me about and those they cannot express. A client will ask certain questions, but they often have questions for which they have no words.
My approach is to perceive and articulate those unspoken questions. I provide techniques to enable my clients to achieve an internal sense of balance that can set the stage for liberation through nurturing resiliency, while providing strategies for self-regulation and self-reflection.
“Liberation is beyond any experience, any insight. It is the ultimate non-attainment. Realizations are often extraordinary and entertaining. Liberation is ordinary and thorough. Realization allows one to let go, the letting go is liberation.”
